Job Summary
St. Vincent Catholic Schools seeks a passionate and responsible Assistant Coach for our High School Girls Cheerleaders to lead and mentor student-athletes. The ideal candidate should be a positive role model promoting teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a Christ-centered environment.
Job Responsibilities
路 Plan and conduct practices that develop skills, physical fitness, and teamwork
路 Supervise and manage student-athletes during practices, games, and travel
路 Teach and reinforce good sportsmanship, respect, and Catholic values on and off the field
路 Collaborate with the Athletic Director, other coaches, and school staff to ensure a positive athletic experience
路 Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team needs
路 Maintain equipment and ensure student safety at all times
路 Follow school and league policies and diocesan guidelines, including Safe Environment protocols
路 Model Christian behavior and promote the mission of Catholic education through leadership
Job Requirements
路 Prior coaching or playing experience in the sport is preferred
路 Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport
路 Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
路 Ability to lead with integrity, fairness, and compassion
路 Must complete all required diocesan Safe Environment training and background checks
路 First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
