What You’ll Do

As a Dietary Aide, you’ll help support our dietary team and ensure patients receive safe, quality meals. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with food preparation and meal/snack service
Setting up trays, loading food carts, and delivering meals throughout the facility
Washing dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen environment
Restocking supplies and rotating food using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods
Monitoring food and supply dates and keeping snack areas stocked
Following food safety and sanitation guidelines

What We’re Looking For

No experience required—we will train you!
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including some weekends)
Friendly and respectful attitude toward patients, staff, and visitors

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Active role requiring standing, walking, and light-to-moderate lifting throughout shifts
Indoor kitchen setting with a focus on cleanliness and safety

Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Faulkton Area Medical Center is an independent, non-profit, 12-bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic. We are located along SD HWY 212 in Faulkton, SD serving a diverse population of 3,000 within a 60 mile radius. FAMC is one of the few independent hospitals left in the state of South Dakota. We offer a wide range of services to all ages. Our hospital is also designated by the state as a Level V trauma receiving facility.
