We're looking for a Projector Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our precision remote delivery projectors (dart projectors) using established work instructions and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and has an eye for detail.


Position Summary

As a Projector Technician, you'll work as part of a collaborative manufacturing team to build and service Pneu-Dart's precision remote delivery projectors. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow standardized assembly procedures while maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.


We're looking for someone who enjoys learning new skills, solving mechanical challenges, and contributing to products that make a real difference in animal health, livestock management, and wildlife conservation. If you have experience with mechanical assembly, equipment repair, manufacturing, or other hands-on technical work—and you take pride in producing quality work—we'd love to have you join the Pneu-Dart team.


Responsibilities:

  • Building various types of projectors for the animal and livestock industry
  • Diagnosing, repairing, modifying all projector types based on customer need
  • Safely test-firing production units
  • Operating a CNC lathe, manual mill and other machines to complete job tasks as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed on customer equipment
  • Repairing damaged components and correcting malfunctions
  • Bluing barrels and various components
  • Following compliance regulations, including but not limited to ATF, Department of State, and the Bureau of Industry and Security.
  • Participate and contribute to continuous improvement projects, across various departments 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General machining skills
  • Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small parts
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail, necessary to troubleshoot production and assembly issues
  • Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with equipment
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal


Accountabilities:

  • Learn products, manufacturing processes, service policies, and the research/science behind Pneu-Dart products. Specifically, learning Projector design and assembly will be of primary importance, including how RDD’s function within the projector.
  • Learn to assemble and repair all Pneu-Dart model projectors
  • Learn to navigate projector-related functions within Pneu-Dart’s computerized order management system


Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent


Mental and Physical Requirements:

  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to follow standard work processes and procedures (SWP’s)
  • Physical activity including:
    • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
    • Fine motor skills, hand manipulation
