This position supports the analysis of integrated wearable sensor, biometric, assessment, and medical data to generate evidence-based insights that improve warfighter readiness, resilience, and mission effectiveness. The Data Scientist will serve as the analytical lead responsible for transforming complex multi-source datasets into actionable information, decision-support dashboards, and recurring reporting products for military leaders and operational stakeholders. This role directly supports Special Operations Forces (SOF) by delivering defensible analytics that inform leadership decisions related to human performance and force health protection. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have a Secret clearance   Responsibilities: Analyze wearable, biometric, assessment, operational, and medical data to identify trends, relationships, and performance indicators. Develop and validate metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and reporting products supporting brain health, operational readiness, and human performance initiatives. Conduct exploratory, descriptive, inferential, and longitudinal analyses across multi-source datasets. Translate stakeholder requirements into measurable variables, cohorts, comparison groups, and reporting methodologies. Apply appropriate statistical methods and analytic techniques to support defensible conclusions and evidence-based recommendations. Develop visualizations and leadership reporting products using approved Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics platforms. Document methodologies, assumptions, limitations, and interpretation guidance to ensure analytic transparency and reproducibility. Partner with Data Engineers and technical stakeholders to refine data quality standards, metric definitions, and analytic requirements. Present findings and recommendations in concise written, visual, and verbal formats suitable for senior military leaders and operational personnel. Support continuous improvement of analytic products through stakeholder feedback and evolving mission requirements. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related analytical discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience conducting applied analytics on operational, healthcare, readiness, or human performance datasets. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with statistical analysis, metric development, data visualization, and analytic reporting. Experience developing dashboards and reporting products using Power BI or similar BI platforms. Experience working with longitudinal, time-series, event-based, and multi-source datasets. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary operational environment.
