Job DetailsJob Location: Methodist University Location - Fayetteville, NC 28311Position Type: Full Time FacultyThe Department of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Methodist University invites applications for a 12-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. The Master of Science program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is online and embedded in the Division of Human Services in the College of Health Sciences and Human Services. The Department of Clinical Mental Health Counseling is seeking an experienced Clinical Placement Coordinator to provide leadership related to practicum and internship placement, skill development, and supervision.  This is a non-remote appointment; presence on the Methodist University campus in Fayetteville, North Carolina is required.   Essential Job Functions:   Teach core graduate-level coursework in a hybrid format Employ best practices in assessment of student learning and academic program outcomes  Develop, plan, and execute strategies to coordinate students’ internship/practicum and field experience opportunities across the United States  Serve as liaison with students, other educators, staff, and outside community agencies and partners in facilitating program objectives, including but not limited to developing, and facilitating residency workshops, coordinating logistics, site vetting, site supervision, training and other student activities and duties  Create and maintain partnerships with mental health organizations  Participate in accreditation and program approval standards for clinical mental health counseling, especially as they relate to field experiences and supervision at sites and at the university Engage and collaborate with other educators and staff to identify and solve problems and improve the program  Contribute scholarly and professional development efforts in the mental health discipline.
