About the Role:
Property Management Company in the Atlanta, GA  area is looking for a skilled and dependable Building Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in keeping our managed high rise building running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency work orders to minimize downtime and disruption
  • Monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems to ensure code compliance
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled maintenance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inspection documentation
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards or building deficiencies to management
  • Support capital improvement projects and building upgrades as needed
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related trade
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
  • EPA 608 certification or other relevant trade licenses preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to after-hours emergencies when needed
