Golf Course Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and supports the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course alongside other team members.  The technician will operate equipment, perform routine landscaping tasks, and support turf management practices under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine mowing of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Perform raking and blowing of debris.
• Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping and turf equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and watering schedules.
• Conduct bunker maintenance, raking, edging, and sand replacement.
• Perform aeration, fertilization, seeding, and other turf care practices.
• Identify and report turf issues such as pests, diseases, or dry spots.
• Trimming hedges, trees, and shrubs.
• Preventing and eliminating weeds.
• Maintaining the golf course by keeping it free from trash, litter, and debris. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must have an eye for detail.
• Prefer a golf-oriented individual.
• Experience with and ability to operate mowing equipment and other heavy equipment.
• Experience in turf grass maintenance.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/moving objects and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds, as needed.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Tolerance for working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
• Manual dexterity and coordination to handle tools and machinery safely.
