Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)– Join Our Care Team!

About the Role.....Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a Excellent Potential opportunity for an LPN/LVN in support of the Womack Army Medical Center (Department of Health) in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

We’re looking for a compassionate, detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to bring skill, heart, and dedication to our patients. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you’ll provide hands‑on care, support RNs and physicians, and make a real difference every single day.

 

This position offers:

  • Full-time opportunity,  M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
  • No night or weekends
  • Consistent and predictable income

  • Full complement of benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k and more for those working at least 28 hours per week on a consistent basis.

 

The Position will have the following requirements:

  • Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State from a CNEA, or a U.S. territory.
  • Must have a minimum of one-year experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting.
  • Maintains current or Compact state LVN license.
  • Maintains BLS

 

Key Duties Include

  • Provides direct care to patients within discipline Scope of Practice and performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing and/or competencies.
  • Administers medications as ordered. Medications may be given via the oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other enteral and parenteral routes.
  • Performs prescreening and intake screening of patients newly arrived at the facility. Uses established intake tools for gathering subjective and objective data, referring abnormal findings or responses to a registered nurse, medical provider, dental provider, or behavioral health provers as appropriate.
  • Performs various treatments such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, etc. as ordered by a medical provider, dental provider, behavioral health provider, or registered nurse.
  • Collects laboratory specimens and performs point-of-care testing or prepares specimens for laboratory processing. Takes appropriate action on lab results received.
  • Additional responsible duties to include services within the scope of their competencies as LPN/LVN.
