Nurse Administrator (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Nurse Administrator to lead and manage our nursing department. The Nurse Administrator will oversee nursing services, supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and help maintain the highest standards of client care.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent nursing judgment, organizational skills, and experience managing nurses and other healthcare professionals in a home care or similar healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the nursing department.
• Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate nursing and support staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other field personnel.
• Coordinate nursing services and ensure clients receive care according to their authorized plans of care.
• Review assessments, plans of care, nursing notes, and other nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct or oversee client assessments, supervisory visits, case conferences, and follow-up services.
• Monitor changes in clients’ conditions and ensure timely communication with clients, families, case managers, nursing staff, and agency leadership.
• Communicate and coordinate services with case managers regarding authorizations, changes in care, client concerns, and service needs.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia regulations, federal requirements, HIPAA, infection-control standards, and agency policies.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, nursing audits, regulatory surveys, complaint investigations, and corrective-action planning.
• Develop, implement, and enforce nursing policies, procedures, workflows, and care protocols.
• Serve as a liaison among nursing staff, clients, families, case managers, office personnel, and executive leadership.
• Address urgent nursing and staffing concerns as needed.
• Perform other duties consistent with the needs of the nursing department, the agency, and the qualifications of the position.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory, charge nurse, nursing management, or nursing administration experience.
• Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, nursing documentation, and quality assurance practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise employees, manage multiple priorities, and respond appropriately to urgent nursing matters.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and standard office technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Previous leadership experience in home care, home health, skilled nursing, or community-based healthcare.
• Experience with regulatory surveys, nursing audits, staff education, and quality improvement programs.
