Crew 2 Days 5:00am - 5:00pm:
Thursday - Sunday / Friday - Sunday $2.50 shift differential
Job Overview: Job responsibilities include ensuring the efficient and safe movement and handling of materials throughout the production process. This role involves operating machinery and equipment to transport materials to various production areas, ensuring that all materials are available for manufacturing operations. The Material Handler will also be responsible for assisting in the organization of the warehouse. By effectively managing material flow, this position directly contributes to the overall productivity and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials to and from production areas
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing processes
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Will be required to obtain fork truck license
- Adhere to Copperweld's safety and environmental standards

- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge, skills, and proficiency to perform multiple machine operations
- Flexibility to work on any shift and to include continuous operations
- Team player and self-starter
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to achieve proficiency working with  Plex: manufacturing, quality, etc.
- Ability to accurately conduct Cycle Counts for inventory needs
Essential Physical Requirements
The position requires medium-level exertion, including:
- Standing, walking: Frequent to constant
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling: Frequent *Note: Certain tasks may occasionally require handling weights exceeding 50 lbs. Specific requirements can be discussed with Human Resources.
- Climbing stairs/ladders: Occasional (especially during wire breaks)
- Bending, body rotation, reaching, repetitive motion: Frequent
- Kneeling, crouching, squatting, overhead work: Occasional
- Fine motor skills (e.g., fingering to detect wire defects), effective verbal communication, and visual acuity (all ranges): Frequent to constant
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise (>85 dB), heat (>100°F), cold (<32°F), humidity, confined spaces, forklifts, airborne particles, machinery, chemicals, and high-energy sources
- Use of PPE required, including eye, hearing, hand, arm, leg, and foot protection
- Shift flexibility and possible overtime (more than 40 hours/week)
- Must understand and comply with Hazard Communication and Hazardous Waste management guidelines (company training provided)
