The Prep/Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Epicurean Hotel [Hotel Name] service standards and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. The Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required, but the focus will be on the support staff position.We are seeking individuals who are passionate about creating the guest experience. What you have Â
High school diploma, equivalent, or higher Â
Previous hospitality experienceÂ
Minimum 1-year experience working in a restaurant or bar settingÂ
Knowledge and experience with beer, wine, and liquorÂ
Customer service experienceÂ
Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenÂ
Experience working on a team in a hospitality settingÂ
Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, iPads, and POSÂ
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.Â
A sense of ownership in everything that you doÂ

What you’ll do Â
Provide service to bartenders in a timely mannerÂ
Prepare beverage garnishes and mixesÂ
Ensure proper stocking and rotation of beer, liquor, wine, and consumable itemsÂ
Clean glasses, utensils, tools, and other bar equipmentÂ
Run food from kitchen to bar and bar area to ensure guests receive their food in a timely mannerÂ
Provide guests with menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation, and pricesÂ
Maintain opening and closing par levels for beer, wine, liquor, and consumablesÂ
Assist in the receiving and unloading of bar items. Ensure proper stockingÂ
Maintain a clean and organized bar, cooler, and bar storage areaÂ
Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned by the managerÂ
