Part-Time Sales Associate

Positions are retail sales in one of our nine clean, friendly ABC stores in Cumberland County. The positions require a high school diploma or GED and sales experience with sale of alcoholic beverages preferred. The store hours are Monday - Saturday 11am - 9pm. We do require flexibility in availability and are unable to work around any other employment or school schedule. Due to policies and regulations, our employees are not allowed to work here and anywhere else that sells, serves, or distributes alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine. Our PT positions are scheduled approximately 20 to 25 hours per week (the positions do not exceed 1000 hours per calendar year) and do not involve benefits but we do have promotional opportunities that involve full-time and management positions with an excellent benefit package. 

POSITION TITLE: PART TIME SALES ASSOCIATE DEPARTMENT: SALES REPORTS TO: STORE MANAGER OR ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER PAY GRADE: 60 FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT 

 OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY 

 Provides customer service in the operation of a retail store. 

 MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES 

Greets and assists customers.  

Insures shrink control.  

Ensures that shelves are stocked and fronted.  

Performs housekeeping duties.  

Responds to customer questions or concerns.  

Accurately checks out customer purchases; verifies the legality of purchases.  

Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

High School Diploma and up to 2 Years’ Experience  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Lift and/or move items of up to 50 pounds occasionally;  

Lift and/or move items of 20 pounds frequently;  

Standing, walking, reaching, grasping, stooping, bending, kneeling, repetitive motion of the wrists, climbing.    

Regularly required to talk and hear.   

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS 

The position works primarily in an air-conditioned business setting. From time to time, position may be required to work in/visit a warehouse and may be required to travel on occasion using one’s personal vehicle.
