Staff Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with in-depth knowledge of balance sheets, liabilities, and intercompany transactions. This role requires a hands-on professional to manage various accounting processes and contribute to the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compile financial reports for month-end, including bank, internal, and external reports.
- Prepare weekly reporting for various stakeholders.
- Perform daily cash clearing, recording, and reconciliation for all entities and accounts.
- Manage the fixed assets process including recording, reconciliation, depreciation, and tracking.
- Reconcile accounts payable vendor accounts and collaborate with the AP team to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and import credit card statements and employee expense reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of experience in Accounting.
- Proficiency in month-end processes and general ledger management.
- Attention to detail.
- Prior experience in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Familiarity with financial statements and GAAP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior SAP experience is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is beneficial.
- A four-year college or university degree in accounting, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
Join a dynamic team of 10 professionals in the Accounting and Finance department. This role operates on the 1st shift, working from 8 am to 5 pm, 100% onsite.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Frederick, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
