The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and resource constraints. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively coordinate team members, stakeholders, and external partners. The ideal candidate will develop detailed project plans, manage risks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment internally and externally with our customers. They will proactively identify issues, implement solutions, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Partners closely with other teams and departments to execute projects including customer service, production and sales and marketing. Assist Sr. Project Engineer with identifying resource needs to plan and assess upcoming projects Consults with vendors to prepare project specifications and deliverables Provides feedback to discipline supervisor as necessary for assigned team members Generates Gantt charts and communicates them to Sales and the Customer Generates reports from ERP system to track components and estimate to actual labor hours to refine Gantt charts Facilitates project handoff to Production and Service teams Is the front-line leader of each project Address internal and external client questions and/or concerns throughout the project Communicate and act as a liaison between internal clients, external clients, vendor and other project stakeholders, as applicable Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk Communicate and collaborate with project design teams to complete multiple concurrent projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency Develop and actively maintain electronic project file records in accordance with established protocols Assist with shipping coordination to customer site What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience Possess technical skills in engineering processes and methods Ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines PMP Certification preferred Key Skills & Attributes: Successful candidates typically demonstrate: Leadership ability Technical capacity Strong problem solver Big picture thinking Excellent communicator Team player Customer focused Quality driven   Work Environment This position is primarily based in a professional office environment but includes occasional time in the manufacturing facility to support projects and collaborate with production teams. While in the plant, employees may be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions such as machinery operation and moderate noise levels.   Physical Demands This role primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while occasionally moving about to access office equipment and files. Additionally, the position occasionally requires moving throughout the manufacturing floor to position oneself for equipment inspection or maintenance.
