Job DetailsJob Location: Lake Region Healthcare Corporation - FERGUS FALLS, MN 56537Position Type: 80 Hours BiweeklySalary Range: $21.10 - $29.08 HourlyJob Category: MaintenanceThe Facilities Project Assistant will assist in routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and building systems. They are responsible for identifying and correcting minor building deficiencies, replacing damaged materials, maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and supporting the daily operations of the Facilities Management Department. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to: Facility Maintenance and Repairs Perform routine facility maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient building operations. Repair and maintain ceilings, walls, doors, locks, hardware, and other building components. Complete patching, painting, touch-up work, and installation or repair of shelves, furnishings, and wall-mounted equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely while supporting preventive maintenance activities. Identify and report facility deficiencies, material needs, and maintenance issues requiring corrective action. Assist with building system repairs, equipment and furniture moves, and maintain compliance with safety standards, building codes, and ILSM requirements. Accurately document completed work orders and maintenance activities in a timely manner. Building Operations Support Maintains facility appearance through routine upkeep and repairs. Assists in maintaining off-site buildings and properties owned by Lake Region Healthcare. Supports departmental projects focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Responds to service requests in a professional and customer-focused manner. Works collaboratively with other departments to minimize disruptions to patient care and operations. Other Duties Assists with grounds maintenance as needed. Assists with snow removal, seasonal maintenance, and exterior facility upkeep when required. Assists with security-related duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Open Date: 09/08/2026 Preferred Application Deadline: 09/15/2026 Hours/Shifts 80 hours biweekly, mainly day shifts with on-call and weekend rotation. Compensation The pay range for this position is $21.10-29.08/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. QualificationsRequirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. Experience in building maintenance, facility operations, general repairs, or a related field preferred. Working knowledge of basic building systems, tools, maintenance practices, and repair techniques. Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) preferred. Required to possess an active, valid, and unrestricted driver's license. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required. Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled and work overtime as needed or directed.
