Job Overview
The Logistics team at Lavazza North America supports supply chain execution and customer service excellence by managing the flow of goods across inbound, outbound, and fulfillment operations. The team partners closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, Lavazza Headquarters, demand and supply planning, customer service, and commercial teams to maintain inventory availability, improve stock alignment, and support efficient order fulfillment. Through data-driven reporting, process improvement, and proactive risk identification, the team helps optimize service, cost, and quality while enabling continued growth across eCommerce and other business channels.
The Import & Export Logistics Specialist manages international trade activities that support North American operations, ensuring goods move efficiently across borders with complete documentation and regulatory compliance. The role coordinates suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to align shipment schedules, customs clearance, inventory movements, and receipt timelines. This position also maintains logistics data and records in SAP and other internal systems, supports vendor onboarding, and identifies improvements to import and export workflows.

Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Oversee import and export activities supporting North American operations and applicable trade requirements.
- Coordinate international shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and distribution partners.
- Verify contracts, commercial terms, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Validate shipment schedules, vessel delivery dates, container arrivals, customs clearance milestones, and warehouse receipt timelines.
- Maintain shipping, warehousing, customs, and inventory movement data in SAP and other internal systems.
- Prepare and coordinate export documentation in accordance with destination-country requirements and internal procedures.
- Monitor inventory movements related to international shipments and resolve exceptions with warehouse and logistics partners.
- Support onboarding of suppliers, logistics vendors, and service providers in SAP and related internal systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements for import, export, documentation, compliance, and logistics workflows.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in import, export, or international logistics within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry; coffee or beverage experience preferred.
- Experience coordinating international shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, warehouses, or distribution partners.
- Working knowledge of bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, customs clearance records, and import and export compliance requirements.
- Experience tracking vessel schedules, container arrivals, delivery milestones, and warehouse receipts.
- Experience entering and maintaining logistics, shipping, warehousing, or inventory data in SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent shipments, documentation deadlines, and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
