We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care and exceptional service. Position Responsibilities The Medical Assistant will support our providers and clinical team with day-to-day patient care and clinical office responsibilities, including: Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs and medical histories Preparing patients for examinations and procedures Assisting providers during patient visits and procedures Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Reviewing medications and updating patient records Coordinating patient flow and helping maintain an efficient clinic schedule Assisting with injections and other clinical procedures as directed and within scope of practice Preparing and maintaining examination rooms and clinical supplies Providing patients with instructions and education as directed by the provider Communicating professionally and compassionately with patients and their families Assisting with referrals, follow-up appointments, and other clinical tasks Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA and office policies Performing other clinical and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Medical Assistant certification preferred Experience in a specialty practice, orthopedics, pain management, or similar clinical setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor Ability to work well as part of a team Comfortable working with electronic medical records and computer systems Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Truly enjoys helping patients Is reliable and takes ownership of their responsibilities Works well with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment Has excellent patient-service skills Is willing to learn and grow within the practice Understands the importance of teamwork, communication, and patient confidentiality Join the Coastal Health Team At Coastal Health Spine & Pain, we are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients while creating a positive and supportive environment for our team.
