WRS has an immediate opening for Parts & Shop Support Technician. The Parts & Shop Support Technician is a hybrid role supporting the daily operation of the shop and parts department. This position serves as backup coverage for the Parts Inventory Clerk, runs for parts as needed, assists with warehouse inventory control, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized mechanics shop. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a valid driver's license, as regular local travel to vendors, suppliers, and field locations is an essential function of the position.

Your Responsibilities


  • Serve as backup to the Parts Inventory Clerk during absences, peak workload, or as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into the inventory control system.
  • Receive, stock, and organize parts to ensure timely delivery to the intended location.
  • Assign parts to specific equipment and issue parts to mechanics as repairs and services are completed.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying inventory deliveries.
  • Run for parts as requested by shop personnel, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and materials between vendors, the shop, and field crews in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the Shop Manager and Parts Inventory Clerk to prioritize and meet daily parts needs.
  • Assist with regular inventory checks, audits, and cycle counts.
  • Support data entry for warehouse item reports and inventory reconciliation.
  • Help maintain organized, labeled, and safe storage of parts and materials.
  • Empty garbage, sweep, and clean shop floors; dust and tidy work areas as appropriate.
  • Maintain the used oil center, hydraulic room, janitor's closet, and break room.
  • Perform janitorial services for shop offices and common areas.
  • Pressure wash equipment and shop areas as needed.


Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required for daily local travel to vendors, suppliers, and field locations.
  • Inventory management and data entry proficiency, experience with inventory control systems, cycle counts, and reconciliation; strong attention to detail to maintain accurate parts and equipment records.
  • Physical capability for shop and warehouse work, ability to lift, stock, organize, and move parts/materials, operate pressure washers, and perform janitorial/facility upkeep in a shop environment.
  • Safety and regulatory awareness, working knowledge of shop safety practices, hazardous materials handling (e.g., used oil, hydraulic fluids).
  • Reliability and independent judgment, demonstrated dependability, ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and strong communication skills to coordinate with the Shop Manager, Parts Inventory Clerk, mechanics, and field crews.
