Job Summary

The Custodian staff member is responsible for ensuring that all school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role supports the mission of St. Pius X Catholic High School by providing a welcoming and well-kept environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Job Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, cafeteria, gym, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces as needed.
Refill restroom supplies and empty trash/recycling bins throughout the facility.
Set up and tear down for events, meetings, and school functions.
Assist with snow removal and salting of walkways during inclement weather.
Report any safety hazards or needed repairs to the Facilities Director.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous custodial experience preferred.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and the mission of Catholic education.

Work Environment

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise.
Schedule is second shift 3PM - 11PM.
