Summary / Primary Role:
The position of Warehouse Supervisor will have primary responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operation of an assigned area of the warehouse to include shipping and receiving, transfers and storage, and maximizing freight capacity to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day workflow of warehouse staff e.g., receiving, documenting damages, processing, staging, and loading of freight.
- Manage warehouse staff to ensure breaks are taken timely, as well as timecard processing.
- Conduct or assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assist Director of Transportation with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process as well as ongoing training.
- Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.
- Identify issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Order supplies and maintain suitable inventory levels.
- Check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation.
- Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations and be prepared for unexpected compliance inspections.
- Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team.
- Motivate team members and assess performance.
- Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Coordinate and maintain fleets and equipment for daily operations.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.
Qualifications and Key Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of four years of warehouse experience is required.
- Previous experience as a warehouse manager or similar management position is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide leadership, support, and guidance to warehouse team members.
- Ability to delegate tasks to individual team members.
- Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
- Effectively communicates with customers and coworkers by providing accurate, courteous, and timely responses to questions or concerns.
- Experience in forklift operation and Hazardous Materials

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory oversight of 5 – 10 associates.
Expected Hours of Work:
Associate must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled.

Work Environment:
Typical warehouse environment. Seasonal hot & cold temperatures will be experienced in warehouse environment.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Employee must lift 40 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 70 lbs. on a less than frequent basis; sit for sporadic periods of time and stand for up to 8 hours at a time. Walk for up to 8 hours in a shift to assure smooth warehouse operations. Reach above head for storing materials (up to 40 lbs.), grasp, handle, and perform finger operations. Must focus physical activity for extended periods of time to assist freight movement. Majority of time spent on feet in and out of potentially inclement weather. Must operate normal office equipment such as a phone, computer, and copy machine.
This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to a 5-panel drug test, including marijuana.
