This role in summary

 
Whirlpool is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an onsite role for our Findlay, OH location.
 
The Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and optimizing existing manufacturing processes as well as identifying automation opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include

 

  • Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in productivity, quality, and safety
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and safety
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead in new equipment scoping, procuring, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Flexible to work all shifts when necessary

Minimum requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 
  • 1+ years of experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role (experience may include internships)
  • 1+ years of AutoCad experience

Preferred skills and experiences

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical or manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in process improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, WCM Methodology
  • Familiarity with CAD software and data analysis tools (SAP, Google Sheets, Smartsheets, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
