Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to the site(s) in order to meet business objectives

  • Participates in projects related to materials, process, and product development

  • Contributes to technology sharing programs and technical development for sites and Divisions

  • Fosters relationships with customers, vendors, and technical trade organizations

  • Screens materials and prepares implementation methods

  • Conceptualizes and fulfills scale-up methods for serial production in cooperation with Manufacturing Engineering

  • Analyzes and interprets physical and electrochemical test and measurement data 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 2–5+ years of technical industry experience, ideally in thermoplastics, compounding, polymer processing, or materials development.
  • Working knowledge of thermoplastic processing methods (e.g., extrusion, injection molding, compounding).
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into material specifications and development plans.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and data interpretation capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and customerfacing support.
