Assist the Golf Course Mechanic/Superintendent in maintaining and repairing golf course equipment, machinery, and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and assist with repairs to support the golf course maintenance team.


Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks on golf course equipment, machinery, and vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with equipment, machinery, and vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and vehicles, including washing, waxing, and painting.
  • Assist with equipment inspections and report any issues or concerns to the Golf Course Mechanic/Superintendent.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Golf Course Mechanic/Superintendent.

 

 

Education/Experience: 

 

  • 1-2 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a golf course setting.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical principles, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate golf course equipment and vehicles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in equipment maintenance and repair preferred.

 

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extended periods of walking and standing are required.
  • Work is performed primarily in a maintenance shop and on the golf course, with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • May be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
