About the Role:  
We are currently seeking dedicated Scrub Nurses to join our Operating Room team at IU Health Fishers. In this vital role, you’ll support surgical teams by preparing the OR, managing instruments, and ensuring a safe, sterile environment for every procedure.  
Key Responsibilities:  
•    Prepare the operating room and gather necessary equipment and supplies.  
•    Select and pass surgical instruments to the surgeon during procedures.  
•    Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.  
•    Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures as needed.  
•    Monitor and restock surgical inventory and supplies.  
•    Document procedures accurately and in accordance with hospital policy.  
•    Collaborate with the charge nurse and surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.  
•    Provide compassionate support to patients and their families before and after surgery.  
What We’re Looking For:  
•    A team player with strong attention to detail and a calm, focused demeanor.  
•    Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly.  
•    Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and continuous learning.  
•    Previous OR or perioperative nursing experience preferred.  
 
Qualifications: 
•    Minimum of 1 year OR experience required 
•    ASN required; BSN preferred 
•    Current Indiana RN license 
•    Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program 
•    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA required 
•    Additional certifications may be required based on unit specialty 
•    Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 
•    Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
