Responsibilities
How you’ll make an impact in this role Â
- Supports facilities operations by managing building systems, maintenance, grounds, energy use, and equipment inventories to ensure safe and efficient operations. Â
- Oversees staffing activities including scheduling, training, and daily work assignments to maintain appropriate coverage and team performance. Â
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., TJC), including conducting audits, maintaining documentation, and supporting inspections. Â
- Manages vendor and contractor relationships, including project coordination, bid processes, and monitoring performance for repairs, maintenance, and capital projects. Â
- Supports budget management by reviewing purchase requests, coordinating with vendors and Purchasing, and ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals. Â
- Drives process improvement and operational efficiency while maintaining strong communication and customer service with internal stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
Qualifications
What minimum requirements you’ll needÂ
Education: Â
- Requirement of High school diploma or equivalentÂ
Experience: Â
- Five years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of a physical plant and/or building maintenance for a large facilityÂ
Â
Preferred Experience:Â
-  Three years’ experience in a large, multi-campus healthcare system Â
-  Three years’ supervisory experience Â
- Â Knowledge and experience with Joint Commission, NFPA, state and federal regulations for healthcare facilitiesÂ
