Making Opportunity Count is seeking a full time (37.5 hours per week) Family Partner for our Family Resource Center program.

Position Overview:
The Family Partner works in conjunction with the FRC Clinician to complete Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessments (Fast CANS), and to help develop the Family Support Plan for Family Members experiencing Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) related issues. Â The Family Partner oversees the implementation of the Family Support Plan with support from other FRC Staff. Â The Family Partner may work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â Â
- Assess the needs and strengths of families requesting supportÂ
- Engage and support families using a strength-based approachÂ
- Assist the Clinician and Family Members in identifying strengths and needs for the CANS AssessmentsÂ
- Asist Family Members in the development of a Family Support PlanÂ
- Co-facilitate (with the Clinician) evidence-based programs and support groups (The Parenting Journey, Active Parenting, and the Parent CafĂ©)Â
- Identify community resources and build collaborative relationships with community agencies.Â
- Engage parents in leadership development activities and the development of mutual support networksÂ
- Participate in team meetingsÂ
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- The ability to work with diverse populations in a community-based setting using a family-center, strength-based approach Â
- The ability to work some evenings and weekendsÂ
- High School or GED equivalent with at least three years’ experience in a similar settingÂ
- Strong written and verbal communications skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)Â
- Excellent interpersonal skills Â
- Valid MA Driver’s License and reliable vehicle  Â
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
- Ability to sit as a desk and use a computer and telephone

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $20.43 to $27.64 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
