VACANCY DESCRIPTION:  High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a candidate to support our school athletics for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.  The ideal candidate will provide the school a sound athletic program for our students and families by accomplishing the following criteria listed below. This position shall be recommended by the school principal and appointed by the school committee on an annual basis. The Athletic Director shall work in harmony with the principal and the chairman of the school committee to align the athletic program with the school’s statement of philosophy, educational objectives, and strategic plan. The Athletic Director will accomplish this and the following goals:

• Promote physical development and emotional well-being for the participants in school sports.
• Teach the values of hard work, discipline, persistence, and interdependence.
• Encourage school spirit through cooperation toward a group goal.
• To apply the lordship of Christ to a competitive environment.

High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area.  Our schools offer safe, caring and Christ-centered environments for grades 3K-8th.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Shows evidence of Christian maturity
• Has a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education, especially sports environments
  
• Desire to work with students in all capacities
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
  

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Previous coaching experience
• Administrative experience

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• $18.00-$21.00 per hour; depending on experience
  
• Tuition Discount available for dependent children of employees
  
• The hours vary from 0-15 hours per week, depending on the season and averages a FTE of 0.2

POSITION START DATE:  August 2026
