Job Summary:
Responsible for determining and implementing best manufacturing practices for current and future production related to set-up, start-up, processing, and maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Set-up and start-up of injected molding machines.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Applies injection molding principles and molding theories to troubleshoot and process molding operations.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Performs mold and color changes on injection machines.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Works with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to make sure raw materials within the work cell are readily available.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Monitors machine operation for compliance to all ISO, health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; analyze and lead continuous improvements.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Works with production management to review and organize production activities.Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Collaborates with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment and quality problems within molding cell.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Evaluates scrap reduction techniques within work cell.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Monitors and documents daily process conditions; logging changes and drafting detailed mold repair work information form sheets
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ensures safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem solving skills.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Basic understanding of molding and processing skills.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ability to train new Mold Setters as needed.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Can successfully act as backup Mold Setter.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Good training and leadership skills; team oriented.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Successful completion of "Fundamentals of Injection Molding" Paulson Training.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Successful completion of āTechnology of Injection Molding ā Level 1 Module with Skill Builder Simulationā Paulson Training.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Successful completion of āImplementing Decoupled Moldingā Paulson Training.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Successful completion of Forklift certification.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Successful completion of LOTO training.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Highly motivated.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Computer proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ability to work overtime as required.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
Education and Experience:
ā¢Ā Ā Ā High School Diploma or GED preferred.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā 1-2 years Injection Molding experience required (or prior external experience).
Physical Requirements:
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Requires manual dexterity.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Frequently moves from waist level to floor level. Ā Ā
