JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE: Accounting Specialist

 

EMPLOYER: Hi-Line Vending

 

DEPARTMENT: Accounting/Finance

 

REPORTS TO: Controller

 

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon Hire

 

POSITION: Full-Time, Salary (to be discussed in interview), In-person only

 

 

SUMMARY:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day general accounting. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; establishes, develops, and/or recommends operational improvements and policies to Controller
  • Performs A/P and A/R functions
  • Prepares financial reports for management and other internal and external parties
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual commission payments to customers
  • Manages and record cash and electronic deposits


  • Responsible for maintaining accurate books and records
  • Develops, implements, and monitors systems for general accounting


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide financial and accounting insights and influence management on policy or operational changes
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Computer skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)


 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to sit
  • Continually required to utilize hearing, vision, and hand/finger dexterity
