RRBB Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We currently have offices in Somerset, NJ; Union, NJ; Wall, NJ; Clark, NJ; and NYC, NY. Join a rapidly growing organization with a strategic vision and dynamic plan.

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to support a diverse client base by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely, reliable reporting. This role combines technical bookkeeping expertise with strong organizational skills and client communication.

Our partner firm, RRBB based in Somerset, NJ is hiring! 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews

  • Run and analyze QuickBooks reports

  • Process payroll and assist with other accounting tasks as needed

  • Prepare journal entries and sales tax worksheets

  • File state tax returns upon approval from staff and/or management

  • Follow up on completed engagements submitted to managers for review

  • Manage client accounts in a timely and effective manner

  • Assist with administrative functions as needed


Time Requirements & Work Environment

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

  • 40-hour workweek from April 15 through December

  • 56-hour workweek from January through April 15, including Saturdays (6 hours)

  • Primarily on-site role, with a remote option available based on role structure and demonstrated competence


Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience; QuickBooks experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities

  • Detail-oriented with a solution-based mindset

  • Eager to learn and grow professionally

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work reliably in a team environment

  • Multilingual skills a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Italian preferred based on client demographics)

This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
