SUMMARY

Responsible for achieving, and maintaining, an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the guest rooms of the hotel

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Vacuums, sweeps, scrubs, mops, and cleans carpet and flooring in guest rooms.
  2. Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guest rooms.
  3. Scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes showers, toilets, washbasins, and other bathroom and vanity fixtures.
  4. Removes trash and debris from guest rooms.
  5. Strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens.
  6. Replenishes linens, amenities and other supplies in guest rooms.
  7. Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
  8. Reports items found in guest rooms to supervisor and/or properly tags lost and found items.
  9. Routinely inspects guest rooms for maintenance needs, such as burned-out light bulbs, plumbing or electrical problems, carpentry needs, or other special problems, and reports it to the housekeeping office, for proper resolution.
  10. Takes responsibility for a “Pass Key” during assigned shift by signing out and turning in to housekeeping management at end of shift to appropriate person.
  11. Maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout shift.
  12. Completes proper reports.
  13. Replenishes linens, amenities, and other supplies in his/her workstation.
  1. All other duties as assigned.

 

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and then the Hotel Operations Manager.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. 
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. 
  • The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
  • The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • The availability to work all shifts.
  • The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to work on the gaming floor inside the casino. 
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • The ability to verify the right to work in the United States. 

 

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. A minimum of 3 months of experience preferred.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 25 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
