Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains building components such as, but not limited to: televisions, beds, fire alarms, overhead paging, Nurse call, pneumatic tube system, automatic door openers and electronic card entry systems. 

  2. Under general supervision install, repairs, inspects and maintains various electrical components and systems; such as generators, motors, switches, lights, and receptacles. 

  3. Assists the other trades in maintaining electrical components.

  4. Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures.

  5. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

  6. Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned.

  7. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.

  8. Perform other maintenance duties as requested. 

  9. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority and document the “as found” condition, troubleshooting/repair details, list any testing equipment (w/calibration dates), test results data, photos, verbal/written documentation of communication with Requestor and final “as corrected” condition.  Document root causes for all equipment failures. Maintains detailed and accurate records of system repairs, temperature, humidity and air flow as required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and medical center policy.

  10. Working weekends and different shifts will be required. 

  11. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols

  12. Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.



Qualifications:

  • If the operation of a McLeod owned or leased vehicle is required; must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving record.
