·         DirectthemanagerialfunctionsofourInfectionControl Program
·         AssurecompliancewithCMS,TJC,CDC,OSHA,andotherfederalandstatestandardsand guidelines.
·         Analyzehospitalinfectiondatatoidentifytrends,clusters,riskfactorsand variances.
·         Managehospitalpoliciesconsistentwithapplicableinfectioncontrolguidelinesand standards.
·         Performsurveillance,analysis,andreportingofhospital-acquired infections.
·         Educatestaffoninfectioncontrol protocols.
·         Serveasaknowledgeableandavailableresourceoninfectioncontrolpracticesand policies.
·         Developandmaintaininfectioncontrolstandardsmeetingregulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Licenseor Certification:

Currentlicenseorcertificationasamedicaltechnologist,clinicallaboratoryscientist, physician, or registered nurse.

Educationand Experience:

Minimumofabachelor'sdegreeinahealthcare field.
1yearexperienceinaclinicalsettinginfieldof practice.
Preferred:CIC Certification.
Trainingininfectioncontroland/or epidemiology.
Preferred:experienceinhospitalinfectioncontrol practice.
Completedpost-secondaryeducationinahealth-relatedfieldincludingbutnotlimited to medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.

Effectivecommunicationskillsinbothwrittenandverbal forms
Detail-orientedwithstronganalytical abilities.
Abilitytoworkindependentlyandmakeinformed decisions.
Flexibilitytoworkvaryingshifts,includingweekdays,weekends,evenings,ornightsas needed.
