Responsibilities:

Deliver clean linen exchange carts, restock stationary carts, and communicate with other departments.
Adhere to all infection control standards at all times.
Maintain production standards.
Operate laundry trucks and van for delivery of clean linen and pick up of soiled linen.
Must be able to push or pull carts full of clean linen up to 400 lbs.
Requires the ability to frequently lift clean linen of at least 10 lbs. to 40 lbs.
Requires the ability to frequently push or pull soil linen of at least 10 lbs. to 40 lbs. (wet linen ranges 50 lbs. to 110 lbs.).
Must wear all required PPE (personal protective equipment).
Collects all soiled linen generated by the Medical Center and its surrounding areas in a manner to minimize gross microbial contamination, including but not limited to: collecting soiled linen from using areas and return it to the laundry plant on a daily basis; handles soiled linen as little as possible to prevent contamination during collection; transport soiled linen in laundry carts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver's license and a clear driving record to drive light to medium weight class.
Must be at least 25 years of age with a valid SC driver's license and a clear driving record to drive heavy to extra heavy weight class.
In lieu of High School Diploma, successful completion of WIN Testing or completion of a McLeod approved Transition to Work program will be accepted.
Required to obtain a medical certification card.
