- Complete comprehensive patient evaluations through history, observation, and objective assessment techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and establish measurable functional goals in collaboration with patients and families.
- Provide occupational therapy interventions for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, developmental, and other functional impairments.
- Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Complete evaluations, re-evaluations, treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries in accordance with departmental and hospital guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient progress, recommendations, and treatment plans.
- Assist with department scheduling adjustments and caseload management.
- Provide guidance and supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), including goal setting and patient care coordination.
- Support departmental initiatives through mentoring, clinical education, competency training, performance improvement activities, and professional development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining required continuing education for South Carolina licensure.
