Position Summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering individualized physical therapy treatment programs designed to relieve pain, restore function, prevent disability, and promote optimal health and wellness. This role partners closely with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional rehabilitative care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations using patient history, clinical observation, and objective assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's goals, functional needs, and learning style.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, re-evaluations, treatment records, charges, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams regarding patient progress, recommendations, and treatment plans.
  • Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), providing guidance and support to ensure quality patient care.
  • Assist with departmental scheduling and workload adjustments to support patient access and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in professional development, competency training, mentoring, performance improvement activities, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment while following all health and safety standards.

Required Education & Licensure:

  • Active South Carolina Physical Therapy License
