Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains various types of building and mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems, Energy Management, and Work Order Management systems.

  2. Under limited supervision, ensure safe and efficient operation of various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: building, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems, and follows through to completion any required repairs maintenance and alterations

  3. Participates in skilled maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, electrical, buildings and structures and ensures they are well-maintained, including: boilers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handling equipment, variable frequency drives and  remote terminal units. 

  4. Leads or Participates in skilled ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, furniture, framework, drywall, and locks.

  5. Ensure maintenance of all systems as required by applicable codes and standards.

  6. Log equipment performance readings as assigned.

  7. Ensure that personnel are trained, and supplies are available to keep all structures in good repair

  8. Stay abreast of Building Maintenance Mechanics by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  9. Maintains building components such as ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, elevators, stairways and building interior & exterior.

  10. Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures.

  11. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

  12. Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned.

  13. Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.

  14. Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

  17. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.

  18. Makes initial determination of how to affect repairs and refers extensive repairs to appropriate technician.

  20. Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.

  21. Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.
     


  22. Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial building systems.

  • Due to insurance regulations, must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver's license.
