Perinatal Sonographer (PRN) - Maternal-Fetal Medicine - 

Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist operates radiological equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the physician and according to established standards and practices; assists physician with specialized procedures; performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to radiology; and serves as an integral part of the overall clinical team for the physician office.
Work Schedule- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly as scheduled
Qualifications /Training
Greater than 1 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. 
  2. Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results. 
  3. Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment. 
  4. Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized daily. 
  5. Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all ultrasound supplies
  6. Work as a team member within the office to assist with patient triage, preauthorization, clerical support back up and perform other duties as assigned
  7. Maintain accurate department records, reports and files as directed. 
  8. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 
  9. Document work processes as required. 


Qualifications:

  • Greater than 3 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine experience or 
  • Greater than 3 years of OB/GYN experience 
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program required.
