The 320 Market Cafe has been in Swarthmore for over 30 years. We are continually evolving and in the 2020, 320 Market Cafe added in-house baked goods to our offerings. We are looking for dependable, capable, and team-oriented individuals who want to work in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment. We are currently hiring for a second baker.
Experience required.
Serv Safe Certification preferred.
Full Time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- They are responsible for ensuring all ingredients are appropriately prepped, assembled, and cooked according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
- They are responsible for regular communication with the Lead Baker, Inventory Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Culinary Director about inventory levels, equipment needs, and supply needs.
- They are responsible for helping to develop new items and maintaining production levels of all key items from cookies and brownies, to cheesecakes and sheet-cakes.
- They are responsible for maintaining production levels of doughs and batters.
- They are responsible for packaging and labeling bakery items for retail.
- They must comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- They also are required to maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $16.00 to $19.00/hour plus pooled tips (average of $4 to $6/hr) after 90 day probationary period.
