The Vet Assistant, Tech Assistant position at Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital is crucial for ensuring the highest level of care for our animal patients. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with animals in a veterinary or similar setting.
• Basic understanding of animal care and handling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a veterinary assistant or technician.
• Experience in a fast-paced veterinary clinic or animal hospital.
• Knowledge of veterinary software and record-keeping.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and medical procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical and treatment areas.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinary team.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments.
• Communicate effectively within a team to help facilitate a smooth workflow.
