What You’ll Do:

Analyze healthcare costs, risk, pricing, forecasting and other projects to help improve quality and total cost of care by:

  • Gathering, cleaning and analyzing data from viable data sources to identify trends;
  • Updating actuarial models for forecasting and monitoring the models for effectiveness; and
  • Preparing financial, enrollment and ad hoc reports to support corporate decision making and communicate results.

Job-Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another related field.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to provide clear messaging to explain complex information as well as ask clarifying questions to ensure you deeply understand the communication.
  • Written communication skills to ensure that communications and reports are accurate, objective, clear, constructive and complete.

Preferred include:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.25.
  • One SOA Exam passed.
  • Working knowledge of databases, SAS and/or SQL to build queries that join correlated data for analysis or reporting.
