Job DetailsJob Location: Layfair East Campus - Flowood, MS 39232Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayOrthotic & Prosthetic Fabrication Technician Help Improve Lives Through Innovation, Craftsmanship, and Compassionate Care Methodist Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthotic & Prosthetic Fabrication Technician to join our Orthotics & Prosthetics team. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside certified clinicians to fabricate, repair, and maintain custom orthotic and prosthetic devices that help patients regain mobility, function, and independence. If you have strong mechanical skills, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in precision craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Fabricate, repair, modify, and finish custom orthotic and prosthetic devices. Measure and fit patients for basic orthotic and prosthetic soft goods and venous pumps. Assist certified clinicians during patient fittings, adjustments, and follow-up appointments. Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, vacuum-forming equipment, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Maintain inventory of fabrication materials, supplies, and equipment. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and tools. Keep the fabrication lab clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Support the Orthotics & Prosthetics team with additional duties as assigned. Schedule Full-time Monday - Friday QualificationsEducation High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications Certificate from an Orthotic/Prosthetic Technical School preferred. Previous experience in an accredited Orthotic and Prosthetic facility is preferred. Experience using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, or other mechanical tools is highly desirable. Skills & Abilities Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to follow technical instructions and fabrication specifications. Good verbal and written communication skills. Visual acuity required for detailed fabrication and repair work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clinicians and other team members. Why Join Our Team?
