Provide high-quality, compassionate oncology care by assessing, treating, educating, and supporting patients and their families—while working collaboratively with the care team and staying grounded in evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do (At a Glance)
‍⚕️ Patient Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Initiate, document, and evaluate treatment interventions
- Perform approved procedures after appropriate training
- Prescribe therapies as indicated
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
Education & Wellness
- Promote wellness and preventative care
- Recommend community resources when appropriate
- Support patients and families through education and guidance
- May assist with staff education and clinical knowledge sharing
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete timely medical record documentation
- Capture charges accurately and on time
- Build working knowledge of reimbursement and documentation requirements
- Incorporate evidence‑based research into daily clinical practice
Care Coordination
- May assist with case management for patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff
- Participate in rounding at affiliated hospitals as assigned
- Participate in weekend or after‑hours call coverage when needed

Qualifications
Who This Role Is For
This is an entry‑level APP position (0–3 years of experience), ideal for new or early‑career providers in the chosen specialty.
âś… You Qualify If You Are One Of The Following:
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- MSN from an accredited nursing school
- Completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active RN and NP licensure in the practicing state
- BLS/CPR certification
Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduate of an accredited PA program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active PA licensure in the practicing state
- BLS/CPR certification
Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
- MSN from an accredited nursing school
- Completed an accredited CNS program
- Active RN and CNS licensure in the practicing state
- BLS/CPR certification
Physical Expectations (What to Expect on the Job)
- Frequent standing and walking
- Full range of motion, including lifting and patient handling
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
- Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination required
- Vision and hearing (with correction if needed) within normal range
- Reasonable accommodations available as needed
Work Environment
- Oncology/Hematology clinical setting
- Exposure to:
- Communicable diseases
- Medical preparations
- Toxic substances
- Ionizing radiation
- Safety protocols and training are provided
