Position Overview:Ā 

As part of the talented Controls team, you will play a critical role in supporting and advancing manufacturing automation systems that drive operational excellence. This role focuses on troubleshooting andĀ optimizingĀ controls and automation processes,Ā developingĀ andĀ maintainingĀ reliable systems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of factory operations. You will collaborate across teams to design, implement, and sustain innovative automation solutions,Ā leveragingĀ data and emerging technologies to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability within manufacturing environments.Ā

Essential Functions:Ā 

  • Supports manufacturing in troubleshooting automation and controls issuesĀ 

  • Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance proceduresĀ 

  • Participate on internal teamsĀ in order toĀ facilitateĀ the development,Ā maintenanceĀ and continuous improvement of factory automationĀ 

  • Influence and support the design and implementation of factory automation equipmentĀ 

  • Document/write maintenanceĀ SOP'sĀ to perform repair and diagnostic functionsĀ 

  • Facilitate the definition and execution of design verifications and manufacturing control plansĀ 

  • Engineer controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cellsĀ 

  • Support TPM effortsĀ 

  • Leverage analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisionsĀ

Required Qualifications:Ā 

  • Competent in programming PLC’s & HMI’s, specifically Allen Bradley, and ideally SiemensĀ 

  • Familiarity with CNC controls, primarily Siemens and FanucĀ 

  • Possess the ability to read and understandĀ controlsĀ prints. Be able toĀ modifyĀ prints using AutoCAD.Ā 

  • Exposure to technologies such as RFID, vision systems, laserĀ engraversĀ and robots.Ā 

  • Experience with SCADA programming, specifically Ignition, as well as exposure to SQL and PythonĀ 

  • Experience leading projectsĀ 

  • Willingness to learn and embraceĀ new technologiesĀ 

  • PreviousĀ experience with CNC machining a plusĀ 

  • Possess the ability to interact in a team environment with other employees and groupsĀ 

  • Post-high school educationĀ required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related fieldĀ 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field or in a related areaĀ 

  • Understanding of industrial network infrastructures, including Ethernet andĀ DeviceNetĀ 

TheĀ anticipatedĀ pay range for this position isĀ  $73,900- $90,500 Ā annually.Ā Ā The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, businessĀ needs, and geographic location.Ā Ā In addition to base pay, this position is eligible forĀ an annual discretionary bonusĀ of 10%.Ā Ā 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.Ā
