Position Overview:Ā 

As a Die Cast Set Up Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by setting up, adjusting, andĀ maintainingĀ die cast machinery to meet production and quality standards. This hands-on role ensures equipment is properly configured,Ā operatingĀ safely, and running efficiently to support continuous production. You willĀ be responsible forĀ preparing machines for operation, troubleshooting issues, performing adjustments, andĀ maintainingĀ equipment while following standard operating procedures. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, you will contribute to a safe, organized, and high-performing manufacturing environment.Ā

Essential Functions:Ā 

  • Set up and adjust die cast machines and associated equipmentĀ in accordance withĀ standard operating procedures and production requirementsĀ 

  • Review job specifications and complete required documentation to ensureĀ accurateĀ setup and production readinessĀ 

  • Install and align dies, die carriers, slides, and related components usingĀ appropriate toolsĀ and techniquesĀ 

  • Connect and verify hydraulic, water, and electrical systems to ensure proper machine functionalityĀ 

  • Perform machine start-up procedures,Ā monitorĀ operation, and verify equipment is functioning correctly, including checking for leaks or defectsĀ Ā 

  • Troubleshoot and adjust machinery, including changing components such as shot rods, dies, and spray systemsĀ Ā 

  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to safely perform setup, adjustments, and maintenance activitiesĀ 

  • Clean andĀ maintainĀ equipment by removing slag, debris, and buildup to ensure safe and efficient operationĀ 

  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment to move tooling, carts, and machinery as neededĀ 

  • Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives within the departmentĀ Ā 

  • Participate in team meetings and safety/stretching programs to promote a safe work environmentĀ Ā 

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with company safety standardsĀ

Required Qualifications:Ā 

  • Must be at least 18 years of ageĀ Ā 

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physicalĀ Ā 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferredĀ Ā 

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot industrial equipmentĀ 

  • Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job specificationsĀ Ā 

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipmentĀ Ā 

  • Ability to safelyĀ operateĀ or learn toĀ operateĀ forklifts, cranes, and hoistsĀ Ā 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standardsĀ 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentĀ 

  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights or weekends as neededĀ

TheĀ anticipatedĀ pay range for this position isĀ $29.50 - $33.38 per hour.Ā Ā
