Position Overview:Ā 

As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician (3rd Shift), you will provide intermediate-levelĀ expertiseĀ in installing, programming, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting the electrical and controls systems that support process and production equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role is critical toĀ maintainingĀ operational uptime and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. You will work with a variety of complex electrical systems, including PLCs, robotics, and automated equipment, while supporting continuous improvement and team-based maintenance efforts.Ā

Essential Functions:Ā 

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot,Ā maintain, and repair manufacturing process and production machines, including robots and automation equipmentĀ 

  • Work with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V AC, including control circuits, instrumentation devices, PLCs/ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drivesĀ 

  • Work from and read electrical and electronic schematic drawingsĀ 

  • Layout, install, andĀ maintainĀ a wide variety of complex electrical equipmentĀ 

  • Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire circuits havingĀ a large number ofĀ units and connectionsĀ 

  • Completely lay out and/or wire a relocated, new, or rebuilt machineĀ 

  • Diagnose, remove, replace, and periodicallyĀ maintainĀ electrical motorsĀ 

  • Utilize knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs,Ā DeviceNet, RFID systems, robots, and Mazak CNC machineryĀ 

  • Ability to work and positively contributeĀ inĀ a team environmentĀ 

  • Train, instruct, guide, and support apprentices in the development of skills and abilitiesĀ 

  • Perform all work according to company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and safe work practicesĀ at all timesĀ

Required Qualifications:Ā 

  • Valid state-registered Journeyman Electrician card or a minimum of 8 years documented experience in the electrical trade in a manufacturing environmentĀ 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalentĀ 

  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs,Ā DeviceNet, RFID systems, robots, and Mazak CNC machineryĀ 

  • Ability to use the equipment common to the electrician tradeĀ 

  • Ability to work with limited or no supervisionĀ 

  • Ability to train, instruct, guide, and supervise apprenticesĀ 

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementĀ 

  • Ability to work 3rd shift asĀ requiredĀ 

This position offers a pay rate of $43.77 per hour. Ā At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.Ā
