Essential Functions: āÆĀ
The Support Tech II job class includes a variety of roles. These includeĀ operatingĀ a forklift supporting various manufacturing operations (machining, coating, assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehouse). The job class also includesĀ repackĀ roles whichĀ are responsible forĀ preparingĀ smallĀ parts intoĀ appropriate containersĀ to be deliveredĀ to the point of use on the assembly lines. There are also a variety of warehouse roles including receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations. These roles use forklifts,Ā clamp lifts,Ā and narrow aisle lift trucks to support various manufacturing operations.Ā The narrow aisle lift trucks can go to aĀ 40-foot working height.Ā Ā
Daily tasks include indirect support of manufacturing operations for large and small part replenishment to the various machining cells, coating operations, and assembly lines. Equipment used to support manufacturing include sit down forklifts,Ā clamp lifts,Ā narrow aisle forklifts, and some manual lifting devices. Support Tech II employees are expected toĀ participateĀ in daily 5S+1 activitiesĀ maintainingĀ a clean and organized work area to promote a safe work environment.Ā
Support Tech II roles are critical to our companyās success as they keep parts in front of the various manufacturing functions throughout theĀ plant,Ā helping to meet daily production goals.Ā
Duties and Responsibilities:Ā
Forklift OperatorsĀ ā Delivery of large partsĀ utilizingĀ a powered industrial truck to various operations throughout Plant 15L. Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentĀ utilizingĀ radio communication and Mercuryās material replenishment system to deliver parts throughout the plant as requested to meet daily production needs. All drivers are expected to follow plant safety rules whileĀ maintainingĀ a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willĀ be requiredĀ to support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.Ā
Narrow AisleĀ Lift TruckĀ OperatorsĀ āĀ PickĀ andĀ DeliveryĀ of both bulk andĀ small partsĀ utilizingĀ narrow aisle lift trucksĀ toĀ supportĀ operations. Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentĀ utilizingĀ a Kanban system and Mercuryās material replenishment system to replenish parts using leanĀ methodology. All drivers are expected to follow plant safety rules whileĀ maintainingĀ a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willĀ be requiredĀ to support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.Ā
Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse OperationsĀ āĀ Operators work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to supportĀ replenishment of partsĀ utilizingĀ a variety of equipment to/from our warehouses to support daily manufacturing functions. Responsibilities include receiving parts fromĀ our offsite warehouses, 3PLās and suppliersĀ utilizingĀ Mercuryās material flow systems, shipping parts to our offsite warehouses, 3PLās,Ā suppliers and manufacturing operationsĀ andĀ maintainingĀ markets to support internal needs. All employees are expected to follow plant safety rules whileĀ maintainingĀ a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S+1 principles. Operators willĀ be requiredĀ to support various quality and productivity activities on an as needed basis.Ā

Experience and Skills:Ā
Ability to drive material delivery equipment inĀ aĀ warehouseĀ environment,Ā training and certification will be provided. Prior forklift experience in aĀ warehouseĀ environment is a plus but notĀ required. PriorĀ manufacturingĀ experience is a plus but notĀ required. General computer skills will beĀ requiredĀ for all Support Tech IIĀ jobs,Ā training will be provided for the systems used within our operations. Prior experience using a Kanban delivery system is a plus but notĀ required.Ā
The hiring rate for this position is $26.49hr.Ā
