The Transportation Coordinator supports transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities within Fond du Lac County through direct participant assistance, mobility support activities, travel training, rider certifications, transportation coordination, and operational program support. This position works closely with ADRC staff, transportation providers, community organizations, and the City of Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac Area Transit to assist individuals in accessing transportation services and maintaining mobility within the community.
Primary responsibilities include conducting individualized and group travel training, completing in-home and office-based rider eligibility certifications for transportation programs, assisting participants with trip planning and transportation resource information, and helping individuals navigate available transportation options. The position also assists with community outreach and transportation education activities to increase awareness of available transportation services.
This role includes significant administrative and operational support responsibilities. Duties include maintaining accurate program records, completing data collection and reporting activities, assisting with transportation-related projects, supporting call center activities, and providing backup support for transportation scheduling, dispatch, and Program Assistant functions as needed. The Transportation Coordinator must be comfortable balancing direct participant interaction with detailed office and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment.
The position works collaboratively with the Aging Supervisor, transportation providers, rural communities, and local stakeholders to help identify transportation needs and support coordination efforts that improve access to transportation services throughout Fond du Lac County. Additional responsibilities may include assisting the Aging Supervisor with transportation-related projects.

This position requires a team-oriented individual who is willing to assist with both participant-facing and operational support functions as program needs require.
