Parra Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an Deployable Electrical Engineer to provide engineering support located in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
This successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in engineering discipline activities for conducting system, subsystem and component level, reverse engineering, replications, and validation.
- Provide hands-on RF collection, characterization, and reverse engineering of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment and components.
- Provide hands-on technical forensic exploitation support for technical intelligence (TECHINT), media exploitation (MEDEX), cell phone exploitation (CELLEX), electronic exploitation (ELEX), and other unique exploitation missions.
- Write draft characterization reports and information tables based on requirements

Qualifications Required:
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience (OR) Associates degree and 6 years of experience (OR) High School and 8 years of experience
- Experience in Schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout. 
- Electronic and/or RF experience with testing with related equipment.
- Understanding of RF communications, with emphasis on characterization of electronic circuits. 
- Experience using benchtop RF equipment including Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and other equipment. 
- Perform standard RF measurements (e.g., occupied bandwidth, average power, pulse width) using the previously listed test equipment. 
- Experience synthesizing and generating various types of RF waveforms using arbitrary waveform generators. 
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience in reverse engineering electronic devices from start to finish.
- Experience in reverse engineering electronic components and circuit boards.
- Experience with soldering and re-working (e.g. through-hole, surface mount, cable assemblies, wire harnesses).
- General RF or electronic domain design or test experience.
- Basic MATLAB (and other basic programming / scripting) skills should be able to apply digital processing techniques to communication signals. Techniques include digital filtering, sample rate conversion, frequency/phase estimation, demodulation, carrier recovery, timing recovery, channel equalization, pulse shaping, and forward error correction.
- Experience working with embedded systems such as Arduino and writing programs leveraging the SPI bus to configure and analyze various chipsets
