Security Specialist II

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Clearance Required: Secret Clearance

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Experience interpreting, and providing guidance to program personnel on security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to establish, document and implement program security procedures/ standard operating procedures.
  • Experience maintaining and managing all classified holdings, conduct reviews/inventory, organize material.
  • Experience reviewing, developing and tracking DD Form 254 forms.
  • Ensures compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) plan and implement OPSEC measures.
  • Experience providing Security Classification Guide (SCG) recommendations and compliance.
  • Ability to provide organization Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) security support.
  • Experience managing and participating in the threat and vulnerability analysis/assessments, critical program information (CPI) assessments, SCG developments.
  • Advise and represent the organization on matters related to the classification, downgrading, de-classification, and safeguarding of national security information.
  • Knowledgeable of and compliant with all applicable administrative and security requirements, while assigned to, participating in, or supporting organization activities.
  • Perform key custodian duties IAW the programs key control plan. Participant with security assistance for test events involving program systems.
     

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of security-related experience is required
  • Bachelor's Degree/High School Diploma
  • Substitutions: Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for the BS degree
